Join Pastor Nathan Futrell for Week 6 of, "Jesus Said What?"
In John 6, Jesus says, “eat my flesh and drink my blood,” not to promote cannibalism, but to show that He is our source of true life. Just as our bodies need food and water, our souls need Jesus daily, not as an occasional supplement, but as our sustenance.
The sermon compares our physical need for nutrients to our spiritual need for God’s presence, prayer, and Scripture. Studies even show that engaging with Scripture four or more times a week reduces loneliness, anger, and spiritual stagnation while deepening community and faith.
We’re called to build daily rhythms around spiritual nourishment and rediscover that God is not bitter medicine, but truly good. Communion reminds us that Jesus gave His body and blood so we could be restored to the full, satisfying relationship with God we were created for.

This message challenges us to examine how we carry our burdens, with worry or with faith. Through the story of the Gospel of Matthew Canaanite woman, we see a persistent faith that refused to be offended or discouraged. Despite being ignored, dismissed, and insulted, she kept trusting Jesus to heal her daughter. Her story shows that miracles often grow in the atmosphere of persistent faith. The message also warns against living offended, reminding us that offense can rob us of relationships, opportunities, and God’s blessings. Like Jesus’ hometown of Nazareth, unbelief can limit what we experience, but humble, unwavering faith opens the door for God to move.

This exploration of forgiveness highlights one of Christianity’s hardest teachings: forgiving without limits. In Matthew 18:21–22, Peter suggests forgiving seven times, but Jesus responds “seventy times seven,” meaning forgiveness should have no limit. Forgiveness reflects God’s character and is both a spiritual command and a path to healing, reducing anxiety, anger, and depression while increasing hope.
Biblically, forgiveness means letting go, intentionally releasing bitterness and surrendering hurt to God. It doesn’t mean denying harm, removing consequences, or reconciling. Instead, it’s choosing not to hold someone’s offense against them. Holding onto unforgiveness, however, only harms us, like drinking poison and expecting someone else to suffer.

In a world where so much fades, one thing stands firm: marriage. Rooted in Matthew 19, Jesus reminds us that marriage isn’t just a human agreement, it’s a sacred covenant designed by God, where He joins two people as one.
Marriage reflects God’s love, strengthens us in our weakness, and lays a foundation for family and faith. It’s not always easy, but with God, what feels impossible becomes possible, for every season of life!

Join Pastor JD Small for Week 2 of Jesus Said What? A message on one of Jesus’ hardest teachings: total surrender.
Through the rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16–30), we see that Jesus isn’t asking us to be poor, but to be fully surrendered. The man had everything, wealth, status, devotion, yet walked away sad when Jesus exposed what truly ruled his heart. This isn’t about money; it’s about whatever we value more than God.
We also explore cognitive dissonance, why challenge feels uncomfortable and why we often choose rationalization over real change. Even doing the “right” things, we can still live unsurrendered.
The call is to identify your “one thing” what you’d struggle to give up, and begin releasing it. Surrender isn’t instant; it’s a process of grace, choosing daily to let go of what competes with God.

Join Senior Pastor Chuck for our brand new series, "Jesus Said What?" This message explores Jesus’ challenging words in Matthew 5:27–30, where He calls us to deal radically with sin, not through self-harm, but by recognizing that the real battle is in the heart.
While religious leaders focused on outward behavior, Jesus points to inward transformation. Lust isn’t just about desire, it reflects a deeper struggle with contentment and trusting God. We’re challenged to guard our hearts, practice restraint, and fill our lives with what honors Him.
With the Holy Spirit guiding us, we learn to listen, repent when needed, and pursue a life marked by purity, because everything flows from the heart.

In a world full of endless choices, the real question isn’t which path to take, it’s recognizing the one true way. Jesus Christ stands alone as the way, the truth, and the life.
He is uniquely qualified as Savior because of His divine claims, His sacrificial death for our sins, and His resurrection from the dead. Unlike any other leader, He claimed to be God, died for us, and conquered death.
The thief on the cross shows that no matter your past, a single moment of surrender can change everything. This isn’t about earning salvation, it’s about accepting what’s already been done for you.

Join Senior Pastor Chuck Angel for Part VIII of our series, "First things First." This conclusion from Galatians asks a powerful question: do we have “grace scars”? Paul reminds us that salvation comes by grace alone, not our efforts. His scars reflected both suffering and God’s faithfulness, just like our own “grace scars,” which mark moments where God met us in hardship. Unlike wounds, scars are healed signs of His presence.
