Ruth 02 - Feeling Toxic
Thursday May 11, 2023
Thursday May 11, 2023
In week 2 of our Ruth study, we will read about Naomi’s confession of feeling toxically bitter. We all have our own moments when we feel “toxic” – we may even have the sense that people shouldn’t be around us because we’re radioactive. Stewing within are some unhealthy emotions, beliefs, and attitudes…and that stuff can leak out. But just like in Naomi’s story, we take hope in the fact that the love of the Lord is capable of cleansing and transforming all of that toxicity.

Ruth 01 - Breaking Bad
Tuesday May 02, 2023
Tuesday May 02, 2023
We survey the opening verses of Ruth 1 and touch base with the reality that defines all of us – we are each vulnerable to life breaking bad. Things can change in a moment and when they do, our desire is to readily respond with a heart that turns to the Lord.

Whatever has caused brokenness in your life, in your family, or the people you're passing by, know that you are broken in His hands. He has the ability to collect every single piece of your life and has the power to put pieces of your life back together again and make you whole.

Living With an Open Hand
Wednesday Apr 19, 2023
Wednesday Apr 19, 2023
For today I want to rehearse a truth with you that I first presented in the first message I shared with you after being named Sr. pastor of TPCC. A lesson I am still learning today is how to live my life with open hands: freely receiving and freely giving. We all like receiving but we can have a hard time letting go of what’s in our hand.

Jesus Is Lord 10 - Lord of the Resurrection
Tuesday Apr 11, 2023
Tuesday Apr 11, 2023
We will remain in our Lordship study and look to Jesus as the Lord of the Resurrection. John 11 records what theologians call, “the most important sign of Jesus’ life and ministry.” The resurrection of Lazarus provides a tell that there is nothing impossible for God. Jesus has the ability to resolve, restore, change, and complete some of the unfulfilled, lost, and impossible circumstances of life. And His question to Martha requires our own personal response: “Do you believe this?”

Wednesday Apr 05, 2023
As we continue our Jesus is Lord series, we will examine the Palm Sunday blessing of Jesus – blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. We will see the sad twist of rejection that Jesus endured and learn how His Lordship extends over our lives when we are experiencing our own rejections.

Jesus Is Lord 08 - ”...in the Lord”
Monday Mar 27, 2023
Monday Mar 27, 2023
This morning, we are continuing our study in the game changing truth that Jesus is Lord! It’s one thing to accept God’s invitation for salvation – to be forgiven and go to heaven when you die; but it’s also part of our salvation story to submit to Jesus as the Lord of your life. If you are truly saved, then He must be your Lord! Today we’re going to explore the significance of this repeated phrase “…in the Lord”

Jesus Is Lord 07 - Lord of our Work
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Wednesday Mar 22, 2023
Today we look at how His authority over our lives extends even over our work. You may be thinking, didn’t we just talk about the importance of rest last week in keeping the Sabbath holy, and now we move to work. It is not a bait and switch they are actually linked.
