PS 23 - Wherever, Whenever, Forever 01 - Jesus is a Praiseworthy Shepherd
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
Tuesday Sep 13, 2022
This week we begin our new series PS 23 which is a verse by verse study through Psalm 23. We’ll isolate the first half of verse one and concentrate on the meaning of “the Lord is my Shepherd.” We will take a cue from one of my favorite resources on Psalm 23 a classic written by Phillip Keller “A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23.” As a career shepherd and someone who knows what it takes to care for sheep, he challenges us to answer the question: “Does the Lord have adequate credibility to by my shepherd?” As we track some of the roots of the Psalm aligned with the revelation of Jesus, we’ll discover that He surely is a praiseworthy shepherd!

Coming Back
Monday Sep 05, 2022
Monday Sep 05, 2022
Pastor Rusty issues a challenge using 2 Peter chapter 1. Remember that you have access to all that you need for life and godliness. If you have strayed, God is calling you, if you are angry, God says come and I will give you peace, if you doubt and have questions, God says I will give you wisdom. Today, don’t allow your doubts, fears, grief, or your anger keep you from coming home, to experience his glory and his excellence.

Communion & Controversy
Sunday Aug 28, 2022
Sunday Aug 28, 2022
That is what communion is - communion with Jesus is that it is more than an act, it’s a way of life! If we long for those days, it is because we long for the one who says, “Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” Let our lives be a daily communion with Jesus and Jesus alone.

Making Room
Monday Aug 22, 2022
Monday Aug 22, 2022
During the State of the Church Address in January, Pastor Chuck pledged that this year we will begin to make room for more people to experience life change and find a home in this faith family. Back in January, he said it this way: “We cannot, not make room. Because if we don’t, who are we going to tell we don’t have room for you?” Today, August 21 is an important day for Turning Point because we are kicking off an important initiative called Making Room. Making Room is an initiative through the end of the year to take some action steps to make room for more people at Turning Point.

Brokenmess 02 - Life After Brokenness
Sunday Aug 14, 2022
Sunday Aug 14, 2022
When brokenness happens, it can be a shock to our system. One thing that can result from the disorientation of brokenness is getting stuck in the pain, held in place by the disappointment. Like a commonly experienced nightmare…we can’t move, can’t scream. We’re just there, a victim of our brokenmess. But from the story of Jonah, we will learn some actions we can take to help us move forward out of our brokenmess.

Brokenmess 01 - The Why Behind the What
Monday Aug 08, 2022
Monday Aug 08, 2022
Take a hard honest look at why brokenness occurs with the goal of understanding what to do when it happens. From Hebrews 12 we’ll see how Jesus pressed through the brokenmess of the cross to get to the other side. We too can set our eyes on the other side of brokenness to embrace a hope, the joy of God’s redemptive work.
